With a new MMO in production, expectations of the competitive Starcraft 2 by the end of the year, and of course the legendary Diablo 3 in the works, this year's Blizzcon tickets are hotter than ever. The sales went much smoother than last year's, but the demand is still high enough for the tickets to be sold out within seconds from opening sales. Fear not Blizzard fans, Gamer-Source has a way for a lucky few to get their hands on a Blizzcon ticket this year. We have got two great ways for you to win Blizzcon tickets.

Epic Fail Contest

Come up with the wackiest / funniest idea that would be rejected by Blizzard. Whether it's an NPC in Diablo, a new unit in Starcraft 2, a game mechanic. Use your imagination, the options are endless. Below are a few requirements / tips:

  • The unit, weapon, boss, or spell / ability you choose to come up with must have a name and a description. Drawings or other art is a plus, but not required.
  • You must include why Blizzard rejected the idea. (bonus for good funny reasons; example: Cow Lord cut from Diablo 3 due to copy right infringement... "needs more cowbell")
  • All submissions must be sent to contest(at)gamer-source.com with the title of "Epic Fail Content Submission"

Franchise Fan Contest

This contest is designed for everyone, no creativity required. Just follow the simple steps listed below and you have a chance to win!

All contest submissions are due by June 12th 11:59 PM EST. We've included a brief FAQ to help answer any questions you may have.

How will the contest end?

Contest submissions for the Epic Fail contest will end June 12th 11:59 PM EST. Your submissions will be presented anonymously to the staff. They will then vote on their favorites. The winners and runner ups will be posted for each franchise after the winners have been contacted. The winners will have exactly 48 hours to respond to the email, in the event we do not receive the information needed from the winner within that 48 hour period, their Blizzcon ticket will be passed to the next runner up.

Who is eligible to participate?

There are no limitations other than those set by Blizzard in their Blizzcon FAQ.

If I win, how will I get my ticket?

Upon winning we will need some of your personal information to confirm your ticket. You MUST be able to Blizzcon in person to pick up your badge and goodie bag from the event itself. Even though you may win, if you cannot attend the event your winning is meaningless as you will only be preventing someone else from being able to go and collect the goodies included with a ticket. Once your name has been submitted it cannot be changed.
